In the eighth inning you let your pitcher who had a shut-out an opportunity to become the losing pitcher. Then the tying run scores. Then with second and third he walks a batter and you still leave him in there- What are you thinking?
Logically speaking, if your starter has a 1 run lead with 2 outs in the 8th, and you replace him with anyone other than your closer, you don't have a closer.
